Pace Electronics Ltd. Vile Parle West. Just down from Bhaidas Hall on Gulmohar Road. It’s a busy spot in Mumbai. Sometimes the traffic is a nightmare, but we’ve been at this address in Swastik Society for a good while now. We handle electronics, mostly parts and things people need for their projects. It's not a fancy office. We have desks piled with papers and some old chairs that probably need replacing. People come in looking for specific components, and we try to find them in the back. There’s a tea stall nearby where most of us go around four in the afternoon. It gets hot in the summer, but the fans keep things moving. We don't do much fancy advertising. Most people find us because they know the area or someone told them we have what they need. It’s just a regular day-to-day operation here. We open up in the morning, check the orders, and stay until the work is done. Vile Parle is a good place to be, even if it's crowded. You get used to the noise of the street. Sometimes we stay late when a big shipment comes in. My desk is right by the window so I see everyone walking toward the hall. It’s just how things go at Pace Electronics. We've been here long enough that the security guards know us all by name. Nothing too complicated about it really. We just close up at seven and head for the train station.
