Orchid

Our office is 405 William Arcade, which is over in Yeshwant Nagar. If you are in Vakola, Santacruz East, you have probably passed by our building. It is a standard commercial block with a lot of other small businesses. We call ourselves Orchid and we handle a variety of local services from here. The office isn't very big. We have a couple of desks and a small area for visitors to sit if they need to wait. Most of our work involves being out and about, but this is where we do all the admin stuff. Mumbai 400055 is a busy part of town so there is always noise from the street. We’ve got a few potted plants by the window to try and make it look a bit nicer. The elevator in William Arcade can be a bit slow, so we often just take the stairs to the fourth floor. It’s better for the legs anyway. We aren't trying to be some huge international company. We just provide what people in the neighborhood need. Our staff is mostly local people who have lived in Santacruz for years. We know the shortcuts and the best places to grab a quick Vada Pav. It is a simple life here. We open up in the morning, do the work, and head home when the sun goes down, usually checking the mail one last time.
