Omkar Leather Arts

We are Omkar Leather Arts and we work out of 189, Nandraj, which is right behind the Bank Of Baroda on S. V. Road in Andheri West. Being in Andheri means there is never a dull moment because the street is always packed with people going to the station or shopping. Our shop is tucked away a little bit, so you have to look for the bank first to find us. The smell of leather is the first thing you notice when you walk into our space. We have rolls of hides and different tools scattered across the workbenches. It is a bit of a cluttered place, but we know where everything is. We spend our time cutting, stitching, and finishing leather goods by hand mostly. It is a craft that takes some patience, and we have been doing it here for quite a while. The building, Nandraj, is an older one, so it has some character, though the walls could probably use a new coat of paint. We do not have a flashy showroom; it is more of a workshop where the real work happens. Sometimes customers come in with things that need fixing or they want something specific made. We just sit at our benches and get to it. It is a local business and we like the vibe of this part of Andheri even with all the traffic.
