Om Sai Engineering

Om Sai Engineering is situated in Goregaon East on the 100 Feet Road. We are in the 1st Stage at Gala No A/2, inside the Sai Industrial Estate. It’s a loud place. There’s always someone welding or grinding something nearby. We do engineering work, mostly small repairs and making parts for machines. We have a couple of lathes and some drills that have been with us for a long time. They are solid machines. The floor is concrete and always has a few oil spots. We don't mind the grime. It’s part of the trade. My son helps me out during the holidays. We started here when there weren't so many buildings around. Now it’s all grown up. The 100 Feet Road is always packed with cars. We have our regulars who bring us their broken parts to fix. We don't do any big advertising. We just have a small board outside the gala. Sometimes we stay late to finish a job if a customer is in a hurry. We eat our tiffin together in the afternoon. It’s a simple life. We don't have any fancy office staff. I answer the phone myself usually. If I’m busy with a machine, it might just keep ringing. We do our best to keep everyone happy by just doing solid work. It’s a bit of a struggle when the rain comes down hard and leaks through the roof, but we just move the machines and keep going.
