Om Engineering Industries

Our shop, Om Engineering Industries, is located at 13/15, Nagdevi Cross Lane, right in the middle of Masjid Bander. If you know this part of the city, you know how packed and busy it gets every single day. The lane is quite narrow, and there are always handcarts and people rushing past our door. We have been here for a long time, and the shop is filled to the ceiling with all sorts of industrial items and hardware. It is a bit dark inside because the buildings are so close together, but we have enough lights to see what we are doing. We don't have any fancy displays or a showroom. It is just shelves and boxes everywhere you look. Sometimes it takes us a minute to find a specific item in the back, but we usually know exactly where it is buried. The air smells like metal and old cardboard. We drink a lot of tea while we talk to the customers who squeeze into the small space at the front. It is a loud and hectic place to work, but we are used to the rhythm of Masjid Bander by now. We don't do any big advertising because most people just find us by walking down the lane. It is a very old-school way of doing things, and we like it that way. We just keep our heads down and handle the daily trade.
