Om Chaitanya Engineering Works

If you head down towards Kennedy Bridge at Nana Chowk, you’ll find the Auto Commerce House. We are up in room 601. Om Chaitanya Engineering Works has been at this location for a good bit now. It’s an old-school building, full of character and a lot of different trades. Being near the bridge means there is always a hum of traffic in the background. Our workshop is where the actual work happens. It’s not a place for sitting around. We have tools and parts spread out across the benches because there is always something being taken apart or put back together. The air usually smells a bit like oil and metal. Most of the people who work here have grease on their hands by ten in the morning. We do a lot of engineering repairs and custom work that requires a bit of thinking and a lot of manual effort. It’s a small space, but we know where everything is kept. Kennedy Bridge is a busy spot, and sometimes getting stuff delivered to the sixth floor is a bit of a challenge with the traffic and the lift. We don’t mind the hustle though. It keeps us on our toes. Most of our regulars just know to come up and find us. We don’t do much advertising; the work speaks for itself and people just find their way to Nana Chowk when they need something fixed properly.
