Our office is situated at the Amrapali Hostel, specifically House Number 6, right across from the Municipal School in Tilak Nagar, Mumbai. It’s a very local neighborhood, so you always hear the sounds of the school children playing or the bells ringing during the day. We are part of the NPCIL setup here. The building itself feels more like a home than a corporate headquarters. We have our rooms set up with desks and filing cabinets where we manage our daily reports. Being in Tilak Nagar means we are right in the middle of a lot of activity. There’s always someone walking by or a vendor selling snacks outside the gates. We don’t have a lot of fancy tech on display, just the usual computers and printers that we need for our work. The space is a bit old-fashioned, with thick walls and narrow hallways. We spend our mornings going through documents and our afternoons in meetings or on the phone. It’s a very practical environment. We don’t go in for much decoration, as the work is what matters most to us. Sometimes it gets a bit noisy with the traffic and the school next door, but we’ve grown used to it over the years. It feels like being part of the community here rather than just an office tucked away somewhere else. Most days are just about keeping the paperwork moving and staying on top of our schedule.
