Njs Sound Machine

We have our little setup over at Bhavani Industrial Estate in Powai. If you know the area, it's unit 103. It is right across from the main IIT gate which means the road is always packed with students and those yellow buses. We deal with sound machines and all the gear that goes with it. It’s not a fancy showroom with glass walls. It’s more of a workshop where things are always being moved around. You will see stacks of speakers and rolls of black wire everywhere you look. Sometimes it is a bit dusty, but that’s just how it is in an industrial estate. We spend most of our mornings testing amplifiers or fixing connectors that someone broke at a party. My hands are usually a bit dirty from moving the heavy equipment. There is a Jain temple road nearby and sometimes you can hear the bells while we are working. We do not have a big marketing team or anything like that. It’s just us here. We’ve been in this building for quite a few years now. The walls could probably use a new coat of paint, but we are too busy with the equipment to worry about that. Most people find us because they need something for a local event or their home system is not working right. We just sit here, drink our chai, and get the work done. It is a simple life in a busy part of Mumbai.
