Nissi & Bros. Engineering Works

You can find Nissi & Bros. Engineering Works over in Block C of the Ghatkopar Industrial Estate. We occupy 224-A and 225-B, so we have a bit of space to spread out our machines. Being right on L.B.S. Marg means it’s easy to find us, though the traffic in Ghatkopar West can be a real headache some mornings. The shop floor is usually covered in a bit of metal dust and oil, which is pretty standard for an engineering place. We’ve been running things here for quite some time now. My brother and I, along with a few guys who have become like family, handle the daily operations. It’s not the quietest environment, what with the clanging of metal and the hum of the lathes going all day long. We don’t have a fancy office with air conditioning; we just keep the big doors open to let the air circulate. Lunch is usually a quick affair, eaten sitting on whatever is handy. We focus on the jobs we have and try to get them out the door when promised. There’s no big marketing team or anyone in a suit here. Just people in grease-stained clothes trying to do a decent job. Sometimes a customer comes in with a sketch on a piece of scrap paper, and we figure out how to make it work. It’s honest work, and we like being part of the industrial community here.
