New Taj Biscuits Stores

Our shop is tucked away in Kurla West at Nikki Palace. If you know the Pipe area you probably have walked past Shop Number 5 without thinking much of it. We have been selling biscuits and snacks here for a good amount of time now. The space is small so we have to stack the boxes pretty high to fit everything in. It gets a bit crowded during the evening when people are coming back from work. They want something quick to go with their tea. We try to keep a variety of things but sometimes the popular ones sell out faster than we expect. My father started this and now I spend most of my day here behind the counter. It is a lot of lifting heavy tins and making sure nothing goes stale. The floor is a bit worn out from all the walking but that is fine. We do not have fancy lights or big posters. It is just a regular biscuit store where you get what you need and have a quick chat. Sometimes the rain leaks a little near the door during monsoon but we just put a bucket there. It is a simple life running a shop in Kurla. We know the neighbors and the kids who come in for a single packet of biscuits. We just keep doing what we do every day and try to keep the glass jars filled for whoever stops by.
