New Kayson Engineers

We are New Kayson Engineers and we work out of Gala-2 in Shantabai Chawl. Our shop is right next to Hotel Maharashtra in Chimatpada, Marolnaka. If you’ve ever been to Andheri East, you know it is always crowded and the traffic can be a real headache. Our space is a typical gala, which means it’s small and packed with everything we need. We do engineering repairs and make parts for people. It’s noisy because we’re so close to the main road, but we don't mind it much anymore. We don't have a big staff or a human resources department. It is just a few of us who have spent years learning how to use the machines. The walls are a bit stained and we have tools hanging everywhere. We don't have a fancy website or do any big advertising. Most of our work comes from people in the neighborhood who know we can fix things. We take our tea breaks at the little stall nearby and talk about the news. It’s a very simple operation. We don’t have a lot of rules, we just make sure the work is done before the day ends. Sometimes the shop gets a bit cluttered, but we know exactly where every wrench and bolt is kept. It’s an honest living and we’ve been at it for a long time in this same spot.
