New Janta Furniture & Mattress

The shop is right in Kurla West, across from where New Model Talkies used to be. It is a busy spot and there is always something going on in the street. We have been making mattresses and wooden furniture here for a long time. It gets quite dusty with all the sawdust from the back room where we cut the wood. We don't really do the fancy catalogs you see in big malls. Usually, people just come in and tell us what size bed they need or if their old sofa needs new stuffing. We have rolls of fabric and foam stacked up near the entrance. Sometimes it is hard to walk around because we have so many half-finished cupboards taking up space. My uncle started this place and now we just keep it going day by day. It is mostly manual work, using hammers and saws. If you need a mattress, we can make one that fits your frame exactly. The traffic in Kurla is a headache for deliveries, so we usually try to move things early in the morning or late at night. We don't have a website or anything like that, just the sign out front that people see when they walk by. It is just a regular workshop where we try to get the orders done on time. Most customers are from the neighborhood or nearby chawls and they know we do honest work.
