New Chocolates

We operate out of Chanakya Housing, specifically in Flat A/203, which is right on Mohammad Ali Road in Kandivali West. It’s a residential building, so it’s a bit different from a regular shopfront. We spend a lot of our time in the kitchen area, working with the chocolates and making sure everything is stored properly. Kandivali West is a crowded place, and being near the masjid means there’s always a lot of activity on the road below. We can hear the calls to prayer and the sound of motorcycles all day long. The flat isn't huge, so we have to be very careful about how we use the space. Our cooling units are always running to keep the sweets from melting in the Mumbai heat. Sometimes friends from the building stop by to see what we are making. It started as a small thing and just kept going because we liked doing it. The floors are tile and easy to clean, which is good because chocolate can be messy. We don't have a big staff, just a few of us working together. It’s quiet inside the flat compared to the noise on Mohammad Ali Road. We just focus on our work, keep our supplies organized, and handle each order as it comes in. It’s a nice way to spend the day, even if it gets a bit hectic around the holidays. We just keep the fridge going and the orders moving.
