Out here in Kurla East, things are always moving fast. We are located in the Sai Shakti Co.Op.Hsg. Society, room 416. It is on Shivsrishty Road, which stays pretty packed with traffic most of the time. If you are looking for us, you have to climb the stairs and find the right door. We have been set up in this society for a bit now. It is a practical space, nothing too big or flashy. Most of the people working here live nearby, so we do not have much of a commute. We usually have the fans going all day because it gets quite warm in this part of Mumbai. There is a desk for everyone and some chairs for when people stop by to chat or drop off things. We do not really do big meetings; we just talk across the room while we work. Sometimes the neighbors are loud, but that is just part of living and working in a housing society. We keep our records in cabinets near the window. The view is mostly of the other buildings and the road below. It is a simple life here. We show up, do the tasks that need doing, and head home when the sun goes down. It is honest work in a busy neighborhood. We keep track of everything in our notebooks and try not to let the heat get to us. The chai wallah comes by at four, and that is usually the highlight of our afternoon.
