Natraj Luggage

Our shop is Shop No. 1 in Poddar Chawl, right on S. V. Road in Santacruz West. We are directly across from Asha Parekh Hospital, which makes us pretty easy to locate if you are in the neighborhood. It is a busy road with a lot of buses and cars passing by at all hours of the day. We deal with bags and luggage of various kinds. The shop isn’t huge, as it is part of the old chawl structure, so things can get a bit tight when we have a lot of new stock arriving. We have suitcases stacked up near the entrance and backpacks hanging from the metal hooks on the walls. It is a very local feel here. We have seen the neighborhood change over the years, but S. V. Road always stays busy and loud. People usually drop in while they are on their way to the hospital or the market. We spend our time checking locks and handles to make sure everything is okay before it goes out to a customer. It is honest work and we enjoy being part of the community here. The noise from the hospital and the traffic is just part of the background music for us now. We don't have any big corporate goals or fancy mission statements. We just want to keep the shop running and help the people who walk through our door. It is a simple life in a very busy part of town.
