National Travels

Bhendi Bazar is a place that never really stays quiet for long. Our office for National Travels is located over at Shankarpuram, specifically at 13/11 Pampamahakavi Road. It is a bit of a mouthful to say the address, but once you are in the area, it is quite easy to find. The street is always full of people and various vendors selling their goods. Inside our space, it is a bit more relaxed, but there is always plenty of work to be done. We handle a lot of the long-distance travel stuff for the community. The desks are usually covered in ledgers and old pens. We do not really do the polished corporate thing at all. It is more about knowing the different routes and which buses are running on time this week. We have been at this address for a long time now. People come in from the market nearby just to check prices or ask for advice on the easiest way to travel south. We spend a lot of time coordinating with the main transport hubs. It is a lot of talking on the phone and double-checking numbers. The 13/11 spot is small, but we make it work for us. Sometimes we sit outside on the stoop when it gets too hot inside. Dealing with travel in such a busy part of town means we see all sorts of people. It is a simple, local operation.
