National Tourist Center

The National Tourist Center is right at Mumbai Central, specifically at number 7. We are directly across from the big Reserve Bank of India building, which is a good landmark if you're looking for our entrance. The area is always buzzing because of the main train station being so close. There are travelers everywhere with their bags, and the sounds of the city never really stop around here. Our office is a bit old-fashioned. We have maps on the walls and some old wooden desks that have seen better days. It’s a busy spot because of where we are located. We spend most of our time answering questions about trains, buses, and where people should stay when they visit. It can get pretty hectic when a big train arrives at the station and everyone starts looking for information at once. We keep a stack of brochures on the counter, but they usually get shuffled around by the wind or people looking through them. The floor is easy to clean, which is good because of all the dust and footprints walking through. We drink a lot of tea to keep our energy up during the long shifts. There’s a certain rhythm to working near Mumbai Central. You get used to the bells and the whistles from the tracks. We aren't a high-end agency. We are just here to help people figure out their next stop.
