Plot No 15, Line No C, Room No is where we are based in Govandi. It is a simple setup, mostly just an office where we keep the records and the car keys. We spend a lot of time outside or on the phone, making sure the vehicles are where they need to be. Govandi can be a tough area with narrow roads and a lot of traffic, so we are always checking the watches to see if the drivers will get back on time. The cars need a lot of cleaning because of the dust on the roads around here. We don't have a big showroom or fancy lights. It’s just a room where the work happens. Sometimes the drivers sit around and have a chat while they wait for their next trip. We have a big ledger where we write everything down by hand. It’s a lot of work keeping the cars running and making sure the fuel tanks are full. The neighborhood is loud and there is always something going on in the street outside. We know most of the people on our line, and they know us as the car guys. We just try to keep things moving and get the cars to the people who need them without too much fuss. It is a basic business, but it keeps us very busy from early morning until quite late at night. The parking can be a real problem some days, but we manage to find a spot for the vehicles somehow.
