Narayan Dosa

This is another spot we have on Grant Road, specifically on Krishna Singh Lane. We are in the Parmand Building, which is part of the 400007 area. It’s funny how the same street can feel so different depending on which lane you are on. Krishna Singh Lane has its own rhythm. Narayan Dosa has been here for a while, and we’ve seen the neighborhood change quite a bit over the years. Some shops go and new ones come in, but we just keep doing what we’ve always done. The building is old and it has a lot of character, which is just a nice way of saying it needs a bit of work now and then. We handle the daily tasks, sweeping the floor and making sure everything is where it belongs. The Mumbai heat is always a factor, especially in these narrow lanes where the breeze doesn’t reach. We just keep the fans going and stay busy. It isn't a glamorous life, but it's ours. We know the other folks working in the Parmand Building pretty well by now. We share news and talk about the weather while we work. There’s no big secret to how we run things; we just show up and do the job.
