N K Engineering Works

N K Engineering Works is based in Unit No 1 at the Dadan Industrial Estate, which is part of the Kamruddin Compound. It’s a bit of a maze to find us if you aren't used to the Safed Pool area off Nandjyoti Industrial Estate in Sakinaka. This part of Andheri East is always packed with trucks and people moving crates around. Our unit is right there on the ground level. It’s a tight space with all the machinery we have crammed in, but we make it work. The noise from the other units in the compound is constant, so you get used to shouting a bit to be heard. We’ve been operating out of this spot for a long time. The walls are a bit stained from the oil and the floors have seen better days, but the equipment still runs fine. We don't have any big corporate offices, just a small desk in the corner where we keep the ledger and the phone. Most of our days are spent fixing things or welding parts together. It’s hot in the summer and damp during the monsoon, but the work never stops. People come to us because we’ve been in Sakinaka forever and they know we’re always here. We aren't trying to impress anyone with how the place looks. We just want to finish the jobs we have so we can take on the next ones.
