Mystic Valley Spa Resort

You can find us out in Igatpuri, which is in the Nashik district. It’s quite a way out from the city, which is nice for a change. We run the resort here in the taluka. It’s a lot of work keeping a place like this going. The weather can be pretty intense, especially during the monsoon when everything gets very wet and misty. That’s probably why they call it Mystic Valley. We don't have a massive team of people. It’s mostly local folks from the nearby villages who help us out. We spend a lot of our time fixing things, whether it's a leaky tap or a patch of grass that’s overgrown. It’s a very hands-on kind of business. We aren't some big polished chain. We’re just a local resort. We have the spa and the rooms, and we try to keep them clean and comfortable. There’s no big promotional talk here. We just like the quiet of the valley. Sometimes the power goes out and we have to get the generator started. It’s just part of life out here. We know the local shops and the people who live in the area. It’s a simple existence compared to Mumbai. We just want people to have a place to stay when they come to the hills. It’s not always perfect, but it’s honest work and we like where we are.
