Mumbadevi Art Creations

Our workshop is at 8/58, Unnat Nagar 3, which is near the Jain Temple in the Mayur Colony area of Goregaon West. It’s a decent spot, fairly close to Karve Road. You can hear the temple bells sometimes in the morning, which is a nice way to start the workday. Mumbadevi Art Creations is really just a group of us who enjoy making things. The space is a bit cramped because we have a lot of tools and materials scattered around. We have shelves full of paints, fabrics, and other bits and pieces. It’s not the kind of place where you’ll find a glossy showroom. It’s more of a place where things actually get built and painted. The floor usually has some stains on it, and there’s always a faint smell of glue or ink in the air. We try to keep the windows open to let the breeze in from Goregaon. Sometimes we get interrupted by people asking for directions to the temple, but we don't mind. We just keep our heads down and work on whatever project is currently on the table. It’s a simple setup, but it’s ours. We don’t have a big corporate strategy. We just try to make things that look decent and don't fall apart the next day. Working with our hands keeps us busy and the day goes by fast.
