M/S Shankar Traders

We run M/S Shankar Traders out of our place in Shashank Apartments, specifically in B401. It’s on Chinchpada Road in Kalyan East. It’s basically a home office setup, which keeps things simple and easy for us. We’ve been trading from here for a long time. The living room is mostly filled with files and samples of what we’re currently selling. It’s a busy neighborhood, and you can always hear the sounds of the street and the neighbors from the balcony. We don't have a shop front on the main road, so most of our business comes from people who already know us or found our address through word of mouth. We spend a lot of time on the phone talking to suppliers and customers throughout the day. It’s a family-run kind of thing. We don’t go for any of that corporate talk or fancy slogans. We just want to move the goods and make sure everyone is happy with what they got. Sometimes the apartment gets a bit crowded when a new stock arrival comes in before we can send it out to the buyers. We just push things to the side and keep going with the work. It’s practical and it works for us. Living and working in the same spot in Kalyan means we don't have to worry about a long commute every day. We just wake up, have some tea, and start the day’s trading right here. It is just life.
