Motilal Masalawala & Sons

We've been at the Sonawala Building in Tardeo for quite a while now. It’s a busy spot, number 2 to be exact, and we’ve seen the neighborhood change a lot over the years. Our family runs things here, just like the name says. Motilal Masalawala & Sons isn't a huge operation with a fancy office; it’s more of a place where we get the work done every day. We deal with spices and traditional blends because that is what we know. People sometimes ask how we keep going in such a crowded city, but for us, it’s just the daily routine of being in Mumbai. Tardeo has its own rhythm, and we are part of that. There isn't a lot of fluff here. We open up the shop, handle the stock, and talk to whoever walks in. The building itself is an old one, which we like. It has character. Sometimes the stairs are a bit narrow, but that's just how these old buildings are. We don't spend money on big ads or glossy brochures. Most of our day is spent making sure the bags are packed right and the customers get what they need. It’s hard work, but it’s what we do. If you find yourself near the Sonawala building, you'll see us there. Just look for the sign for number 157. It’s nothing special to look at from the outside, but it’s home to everything we do.
