Monarch Emporium

We’ve been at Vivina Shopping Center for a while now. It’s right there near the railway station on Reay Road in Andheri. It gets really busy around here, especially in the mornings when everyone is rushing to catch their trains. My shop, Monarch Emporium, is tucked into unit E 1B. It isn’t a huge space, but we have managed to fit a lot of stuff on the shelves over the years. Some days it feels a bit cramped when we get a big delivery in, and we have to stack boxes wherever they’ll fit. It’s a typical local spot where we just get on with our work. Most people who stop by are locals from around Andheri or people who happen to see us while walking from the station. The building itself has its quirks, like the lights that sometimes flicker or the way the noise from the street carries inside. To be honest, we don’t have fancy displays or anything like that. It is mostly just us sitting behind the counter, handling whatever comes in. It gets dusty pretty quick because of all the traffic outside, so there is always some cleaning to do. I’ve spent more time in this shop than in my own living room lately. We keep things pretty simple. If someone needs something, we look for it in the back. Sometimes it takes a minute to find. It’s just how things go in a place like this. We’ve seen the neighborhood change quite a bit, but we’re still here.
