Modern General Stores

We run Modern General Stores in Vikhroli West. The shop is officially number 188 in building 15, on the ground floor. It is one of those places where you can find a bit of everything if you look hard enough. We have shelves packed with soap, lentils, biscuits, and all the usual household stuff. It is a bit of a tight squeeze in the aisles because we try to stock as much as possible for the neighborhood. Sometimes the boxes are stacked a bit high, and I have to help people reach things. We don't have a fancy layout or bright neon signs. It is just a regular shop where people stop by for their daily needs. I have known most of the customers for years, and we often chat while I am ringing up their items. The shop gets a bit dusty because of the road outside, so we are always wiping things down. It is not a glamorous job, but it is important for the people living in building 15 and the surrounding blocks. We don't do home delivery with an app or anything, people just walk over and get what they need. It is a simple, old-fashioned way of doing business. We open up early in the morning before people head to work and stay open until quite late at night. It is just how things go for us here in Vikhroli.
