Miracle Magic

We are tucked away in Unit No 4 of Tabela Chawl, which is on Chandanwadi, Chirabazar Road. This is the Chira Bazar-Kalbadevi area of Mumbai, so it’s incredibly crowded and busy every single day. We are right opposite the Electric Crematorium, which is a well-known landmark around here. The chawl is old and the lanes are narrow, but it’s where we’ve always been. It’s a very humble setup, just a small unit where we keep all our things. You can hear the noise of the market outside constantly—people shouting, horns honking, and the general bustle of Kalbadevi. It’s not the kind of place where you’d expect a big office, and we don't have one. We just have our workspace where we get things ready. Sometimes it gets a bit dusty because of the construction nearby, but we just clean up and keep going. We know most of our neighbors, and there’s a sense of community in the chawl. We don’t use any fancy marketing tricks. People just know we are here in Unit 4. It’s a practical place to be because we are right in the heart of the wholesale markets. Getting materials or moving things around can be a challenge in these narrow streets, but we’ve learned the shortcuts over the years. It’s a simple life and a simple business, just how we like it. The rainy season makes the lanes a bit messy, but we manage.
