Minus Zero Degree Ice Cream Parlour

Our little shop is over in Malad West, inside Kewal Tower. We are quite close to Sndt College, so we see a lot of students coming in and out all day. It’s a simple parlour where we keep the freezers running and the floors swept. We don’t have fancy furniture, just some basic tables and chairs where people can sit for a bit while they eat. The freezers make a constant humming sound that we don’t even notice anymore. It can get pretty crowded in the evenings when the weather is hot and everyone in the neighborhood wants something cold. We spend a lot of time refilling the tubs and cleaning the glass displays. It’s not a complicated business. We just try to keep the place tidy and the lights on. Sometimes the students stay a long time just talking, which is fine with us. We have a small back room where we keep the extra stock and take our breaks when it’s not too busy. The location is good because people know Kewal Tower well. We don't do any big promotions or anything like that; people mostly find us by walking past or hearing about us from their friends at the college. It’s a nice enough way to spend the day, even if the floor gets a bit sticky now and then from spilled drips.
