We’re based out of Gokul Angan on Vasai Road, right in Building A, Flat 101. It’s a bit of a trek for some people, but it’s where we’ve set up shop. Being in the Mumbai-Thane area means space is always tight, and we spend most of our time trying to figure out how to make small rooms feel a lot bigger than they actually are. The office is basically an apartment that we’ve filled with desks and samples of wood and fabric. It’s a bit cluttered, but we know where everything is. Most days you’ll find us arguing about lighting or how much space a wardrobe should take up. Mumbai life is fast, and we try to keep up, but sometimes we just have to slow down and really look at a project. We don't have any big speeches about our "vision." We just look at a room and try to imagine how someone is going to live in it every day. It’s about the little things, like where the light switches go or if there’s enough room to walk around the bed. We work with what we have and try to make it look decent. It’s not always glamorous, especially when you’re dealing with plumbing issues or stuck in traffic on the way to a site, but it's what we do.
