Milan Provision Stores

Milan Provision Stores is Shop No 14 in the Guru Krupa Building. We are based in Malad West, right where the local neighborhood life happens. The shop is packed from floor to ceiling with all sorts of household goods. We have big sacks of rice and pulses sitting on the floor near the entrance. Sometimes it is hard to find exactly what you need because there is so much stuffed onto the shelves. We have a small counter where we stand and talk to the neighbors while we weigh out their groceries. The building is older, so the walls have a few cracks and the paint is peeling in some spots. We use a lot of old jars to hold smaller items. The fan on the ceiling wobbles a bit but it keeps us cool enough during the humid months. There is always a lot of chatter because people in Malad like to talk while they shop. We keep track of everything in a thick notebook with a red cover. It’s a simple way of doing things, but it works for us. Outside, the street is always full of rickshaws and people walking. We don't have any bright neon signs or anything like that. It is just a local provision store where we know the brands people like and we try to keep the basics in stock.
