We are located on the ground floor of Neel Kant Apartment, right near the Amar Mahal junction in Chembur. It’s a busy spot because of the highway, and you can always hear the cars rushing past. Being on the ground floor makes it a lot easier for us to move boxes in and out without having to deal with elevators. We deal with fruits, so there is always a lot of coming and going with crates and delivery vans. The office part is pretty small, just enough for a couple of desks and a place to keep the records. It can get a bit chilly inside because we have to keep things at the right temperature for the produce. Most days involve checking the quality of what comes in and making sure it gets sent out to the right places in Chembur and beyond. It’s not the kind of place where you’ll find people in ties. We’re usually in comfortable shoes because we are on our feet a lot. The apartment building itself is quite old, and we’ve become a familiar sight to the people living upstairs. Sometimes they stop by to say hello while we are unloading a shipment. There’s always a lot of noise from the street, and the dust from Amar Mahal can be a bit of a nuisance. But we’ve been here for a while now and we like the location.
