Valur Mart

Valur Mart is up on the first floor of the Mehra Estate in Vikhroli West. It’s in the Om Sada building. We started this shop because we felt like the area needed a place that just sold honest stuff at a fair price. We aren't a giant supermarket chain. It’s just a local spot where we keep the shelves stocked with what people actually use. I spend most of my day checking the inventory or talking to the suppliers who come by in their small trucks. Vikhroli is a busy place, and the estate gets a lot of foot traffic. We’ve been here for a bit now, and we know most of the people who live in the nearby buildings by name. It’s a lot of hard work, lifting boxes and staying on your feet all day, but it keeps us busy. My brother helps out on the weekends when it gets extra crowded. We don't have fancy lighting or music playing. It’s just a regular store. Sometimes we run out of things, and people have to wait a day or two, but they usually don't mind because they know we are trying. We try to keep it simple and just do our best to help the folks around here. It’s not a complicated business, just buying and selling things people need.
