Milan Masala

Our office is number 101 in Sharda Chambers, right on K.N. Road in Masjid (W). If you’re looking for us, just look for the water fountain—it’s the main landmark we have in this crowded part of the city. Masjid is a chaotic place, and we are right in the thick of it. The stairs in Sharda Chambers are narrow and there’s always someone moving a crate or a bag past you. We handle Milan Masala from this small office, and it’s usually packed with samples and ledgers. K.N. Road is never quiet. You hear the horns, the shouting of the vendors, and the general roar of Mumbai all day long. We spend a lot of time on the phone or talking to people who drop in. It’s not a corporate setup with glass walls. It’s more like a room where a lot of work happens very quickly. We drink a lot of tea and try to keep track of where all the masala is going. The smell of the market outside mixes with the spices we have in the office, and it’s a scent you never really forget. We’ve been in Masjid (W) for a long time, and we wouldn't know how to work anywhere else. The fountain outside might not always be running, but we are always moving. It’s a tough, fast-paced environment, but it’s our home. We don't worry about being fancy; we just worry about getting the bags shipped.
