Mid Day Infomedialimited

Our workplace is in Mahim East, inside the Shafi Compound. Specifically, we are at 611/C in the Nagri Apartments on D.M. Road. This part of Mumbai is quite crowded and has a lot of character and history. We are Mid Day Infomedialimited, and our office is where all the daily work happens. It’s a busy environment most of the time. We aren't located in one of those shiny new glass towers you see in BKC; we are in a regular apartment building that has been converted into office spaces. The compound is always full of activity, with people moving goods and bikes parked everywhere in the small lanes. Inside, it’s a bit more organized, but still very lived-in and functional. We have rows of desks and filing cabinets filled with years of records and documents. We deal with a lot of information and media stuff, so there is always someone typing away or on the phone with a client. The fans are usually running at full speed to keep us cool during the humid months. We usually grab lunch from the local dabbas or the small food stalls nearby on the main road. It isn't a glamorous life, but it’s real work that needs to be done. We know the security guards and the local tea sellers by name. Sometimes the traffic on D.M. Road makes it hard to get out in the evenings, but that’s just part of living in Mumbai.
