Melting Mints (Opc) Private Limited is located in the Champaklal Industrial Estate. We are in unit 234, right near the Sion Telephone Exchange in Sion East. It’s an industrial area, so there’s always the sound of trucks and machinery in the background. Our place is basically a big room where we process everything. It’s not fancy at all. The walls are painted a dull grey and we have metal shelves everywhere. We focus on the mints and other confectionery items. There is a very strong smell of peppermint in the air most days. It’s actually quite nice, though you get used to it after ten minutes. The industrial estate is a maze of buildings and it took us a while to stop getting lost when we first started. We have a small office corner with a desk that’s always covered in samples and wrappers. We handle everything from the orders to the packing right here. Mumbai weather makes it humid, so we have to be careful with how we store things. We aren't a big corporation with hundreds of employees. It’s just a small operation. We drink a lot of chai and talk about cricket while we work. Sometimes the power goes out and we just have to sit and wait. That’s just life in Sion. We do our best with what we have and keep moving. It's honest work and keeps us busy from morning till evening.
