Mehta Holidays

We've been running Mehta Holidays out of our space in Vijay Vikram Apartment for quite a while now. It is located over in Sector 27 D, right near Anand Nagar in Dahisar East. Usually, it’s just us sitting around the desks, trying to figure out train schedules or booking flights for people in the neighborhood. Some days it is very quiet, and other days the phone won't stop ringing because someone wants to go on a trip last minute. It gets a bit crowded in the office when families come in to talk about their summer plans, but we manage. Living and working in Dahisar means we see a lot of the same faces every week. We don't have fancy leather chairs or a big reception desk. It’s mostly just files, some maps on the wall, and a lot of tea being drunk throughout the afternoon. Sometimes the traffic outside near Anand Nagar gets loud, but we are used to it by now. People just drop by when they are passing through the building to ask about ticket prices or if a certain hotel is good. We try to keep things simple and just give honest answers based on what we know. It is not a very large operation, but it keeps us busy enough. We mostly just focus on getting the details right so nobody ends up stuck at an airport or without a room when they arrive somewhere new.
