We are situated in Shop Number 3 of the Jain Laxmi Mansion, which sits right along the busy Tumkur Road on NH 4. Being in the Mumbai Central area, specifically opposite the Navjeevan Society, means there is never a quiet moment outside our door. The traffic on the highway is pretty much constant, with trucks and cars passing by at all hours. Our shop is part of an older building that has a lot of character, even if it shows its age in places. Inside, it’s a bit of a contrast to the noisy street. We try to keep things as tidy as possible, though with all the things we have on display, it can get a bit cluttered. We spend our time talking to people who drop in and managing the daily chores that come with running a gallery. It’s not a huge space, but it’s enough for us to do our work. We’ve got a small desk in the corner where we handle the books and the phone calls. Sometimes the light inside isn't the best, so we have to use extra lamps to see what we're doing. The neighbors in the other shops are friendly, and we often share a quick word when things are slow. It’s a straightforward life here in the middle of a very busy part of the city. We just open up, do what needs to be done, and try to keep things moving along properly. The walk from the main station to here is short, but it’s always a scramble with all the people. We’ve got a small radio that we keep on a low volume just to have some background noise that isn't traffic. It’s a cozy enough spot once you get inside and shut the door against the highway noise. We’ve been in Jain Laxmi Mansion for a long time now.
