Our little office is tucked away in Room No. 3 of Saket Society over in Chaitnyanagar. If you know the IIT Market in Powai, you know how busy it gets around here. It’s a tight squeeze in Group No. 2, and we have been operating out of this space on H.K. Road for quite some time. Mecorp Media & Events is basically just us trying to keep up with the local demand for small gatherings and media projects. The room is usually filled with wires, old flyers, and the smell of tea. It is nothing like those big glass buildings you see further down in Mumbai. We are right in the thick of it, with people constantly walking by and the noise from the market coming through the windows. Sometimes it gets a bit loud when we are trying to talk to clients, but we’ve gotten used to it. We handle a lot of the logistical stuff that people don't want to deal with themselves. It's mostly about making sure things show up on time and the equipment doesn't fail in the middle of a function. We don't have a receptionist or anything like that. If the door is open, you just walk in and talk to whoever is sitting at the desk. We’ve known the neighbors for years, so it feels more like a home than a workplace most days. It is a lot of hard work, but we manage to stay busy through the year.
