Meca - Betharia Engineering Limited

Our office is over in VIP Plaza, right in the middle of the Veera Industrial Estate in Andheri West. If you know this part of Mumbai, you know how the traffic gets on the Malad Link Road, especially when the rains hit. We spend a lot of our time here at Plot B/7 dealing with engineering drawings and making sure the projects are moving along like they should. It is not a quiet place, there is always some noise from the neighbors and the sound of the city outside. Inside 401, it is mostly computers, blueprints, and a lot of tea being drunk while we figure out technical problems. We have been doing this for a long time now. Some of us have been sitting at these same desks for years. It is hard work, and sometimes the deadlines get a bit tight, but that is just how the engineering business goes in a place like this. We don’t have any big speeches about what we do. We just come in, do the calculations, talk to the vendors, and go home. The estate is always busy with trucks and people moving parts around. It feels like a real working area, not like those fancy glass buildings in the business parks. We like it here because it is where the actual work happens. Sometimes the lift in the building is slow, but we don't mind much because we are usually too busy to notice.
