Our little office is tucked away at 74 Ghatkopar West in Sitladevi Chawl. If you know the area, we are right there in Gopal Bhavan, just a short walk from the Ashok Bunglow. It’s a lively part of the neighborhood, especially with the South Indian Bank right across from us. People are always coming and going, either heading to the bank or stopping by to ask about bus timings and train tickets. We’ve got maps on the walls that have seen better days and a couple of old computers that we use to check for available seats. It gets pretty cramped when more than two people walk in at once, but we make it work. Most of our day is spent on the phone, trying to confirm bookings or explaining why a flight is delayed. Travel can be a headache, and we see plenty of stressed-out faces every day. We don’t have any big slogans or shiny brochures; we just write down the details and try to get people where they need to go. The tea guy from down the street knows our order by heart because we’re always here until late. Sometimes it feels like we’re traveling ourselves just by looking at all the different tickets we print out. It’s a modest setup, but it’s been our home for years, and we know every shortcut around Ghatkopar West to avoid the worst of the traffic.
