Matrix Enterprise

Our place, Matrix Enterprise, is tucked away in Kotwal Mansion on Grant Road. It’s Shop No 1 on the second floor, and you have to take the 4th Main and then 5th C Cross to find us. It’s a bit of a maze if you aren't familiar with the building. The mansion is an old structure, and the stairs are quite narrow for carrying boxes. Inside the shop, we have shelves lined with all our stock. It’s a bit cramped because we try to keep everything we might need on hand. I spend most of my day at the counter, or back in the small storage area looking for something a customer asked for. The lighting in the shop is a bit dim, so I added a few extra lamps last month. Grant Road is a very busy area, so there’s always something happening outside. Sometimes the delivery guys have trouble finding the right cross street, so I have to go down and wave them in. Matrix Enterprise is a small operation. It’s mostly just me and one other person helping out. We don’t have any fancy displays or bright lights. It’s just a practical space for doing business. I usually eat my lunch while sitting on a crate in the back because there isn't much room for a table. The windows don’t open very far, so it gets warm in the summer. We just keep the small desk fan pointed at us and get through the day's orders.
