Mastani Ice Cream

Our shop is Mastani Ice Cream and we are located in Kurla East. Specifically, we are at Shop No 1 in the Central Railway Colony. It's a very specific spot. Being near the railway colony means we see a lot of railway workers and their families. It's a tight-knit community around here. The shop itself is pretty small. We don't have room for a lot of tables, so most people just grab something and keep walking. Kurla is always loud and moving, and being near the tracks means you hear the trains all the time. You stop noticing it after a week or two. We’ve been here for quite some time now. We know most of the people who live in the colony. They stop by in the evenings when it’s a bit cooler. We don't have a big staff, just a couple of us working the counter. It’s hard work, especially when the summer hits and everyone wants something cold at the same time. We don't have any fancy decorations. Just the freezer and the counter and some lights that flicker sometimes. We keep it clean and we keep it simple. There isn't a lot of mystery to what we do. We just serve ice cream to the folks in Kurla East. It’s a good living and we like the people here. Every day is pretty much the same, and we’re okay with that.
