Our office is over in Vashi, Navi Mumbai. Masala Entertainment Pvt. Ltd. has been operating from here for some time now. Vashi is a good spot because it’s a bit more planned out than some other parts of the city, but it still has that busy energy we need for the entertainment business. We are usually tied up with various projects that involve a lot of creative thinking and even more phone calls. The office itself is pretty casual. You’ll see people in jeans just trying to get through their lists. We don't really do the whole corporate suit-and-tie thing. It doesn't fit the vibe of what we do. We deal with a lot of different people in the entertainment world, so every day feels a little different. One day we might be worrying about a script, and the next we are looking at schedules for a shoot. It’s not always glamorous; in fact, there’s a lot of boring admin work that goes into making things look good on screen. We just try to keep our heads down and do the work. The Vashi climate is what it is, and we spend our breaks grabbing snacks from the local stalls nearby. It is a simple setup, but it works for us and the kind of work we enjoy doing. It takes a lot of effort to keep everything organized, but we wouldn’t have it any other way.
