Maruthi Travel Services is found at Block No 8 on the first floor of our building in Fort. This part of Mumbai is full of history and old stone buildings. We are quite close to the Reserve Bank, so there are always a lot of people in suits walking around the streets outside. Our office is a bit old-fashioned. We have some maps on the walls and a couple of desks with computers that have seen better days. We spend the day looking up train schedules and flight prices for people who come in. Many of our customers are locals who have been coming to us for years. They like to sit down and talk about where they want to go instead of just booking things online. It can get quite noisy with the traffic from the main road filtering up to the first floor. The elevator in the building doesn't always work, so most people just use the stairs. It’s a simple life here in the Fort area. We have our favorite places to get vada pav during the lunch break. We don't have a big team, just a few people who know the travel business well. Every day is different because everyone wants to go somewhere new. We just try to keep the paperwork in order and make sure the bookings are done right.
