Manpasand Masala

Manpasand Masala. We are at Shop No. 2 in Jai Ambe Chs. It’s on M.G. Road No. 4 in Kandivali West. We are close to the Shankar Temple and right across from Patel Nagar. This is a very lively part of town to work in. There are always people going to the temple or walking to the market nearby. We have a small shop front where we sell our masalas. Behind the counter, we have all the jars and packets lined up on the shelves. We mix some of the blends ourselves based on old recipes we’ve used for years. It’s not a fancy setup at all. The floor is just concrete and we have these old wooden shelves that have been here forever. People stop by on their way home from work to pick up what they need for their dinner. We know a lot of our customers by their names. We don't spend money on ads or social media. We just try to make sure the masala is good so people decide to come back. Sometimes it gets crowded in the shop and people have to wait out on the sidewalk for a minute. We try to be quick, but we also like to chat with everyone. Kandivali has changed a lot over the years, but our shop has stayed pretty much the same. We have the same old door and that familiar smell of cloves and cinnamon. It’s a good place to be every day.
