Mangalore Stores

If you are walking around Goregaon West, you will probably stumble upon us at Shop Number 5 in Narhari Sadan. Mangalore Stores has been a part of this neighborhood for a long time. People come here when they need those specific things they can't find in the big supermarkets. The shop is a bit cramped because we try to fit a lot of stock onto the shelves. Sometimes you have to squeeze past another customer in the aisle. We open early because that is when the morning rush starts. It is mostly regular faces we see every day, people living in the nearby plots who just need a few items for their kitchen. The fan inside the shop makes a bit of a clicking sound, but we got used to it. We spend most of our time unpacking crates and putting things away. It gets quite hot in the afternoons, so we usually sit near the door to catch whatever breeze comes through. We don't really do fancy displays or anything like that. The stock speaks for itself, and people know what they are looking for when they walk in. It is just a simple local shop where we know most of our customers by name. We try to keep things organized, but on busy days, there are boxes everywhere on the floor. It is just how we do things here every single day of the week.
