Mangalam Electric Hardware Stores

We have been running Mangalam Electric Hardware Stores for a good while now in Shop 5 at Hill Residency. Being in Mulund West, it gets pretty busy, especially since we are so close to Nirmal Lifestyle. Most mornings start with me opening the shutters and trying to organize the boxes of wires and switches that arrived the day before. It is a small space, so things get cluttered fast. We usually have people dropping by for basic stuff like a new light bulb or a specific type of screw they can't find anywhere else. Sometimes they don't even know the name of what they need, so they bring the old broken part with them. It’s mostly just us here, making sure we have what the local guys need for their home repairs. The fans stay on all day because it gets warm with all the stock piled up. We don't really do anything fancy here, just sell hardware and electric items. The neighborhood has changed a lot with all the new buildings, but our shop stays pretty much the same. I like the routine of it. We know a lot of the faces who walk by every day. It’s not a big corporate operation, just a local shop where we keep track of things in a notebook and try to help out whoever walks through the door. Usually, it's just about finding that one specific tool or wire in the back of the shelf.
