Maliq Traders

You can find us at number 6, right near Gandhi Chawl in Dharavi. It’s a busy little corner of the world. We deal with various goods, mostly trading whatever is in demand in the local market. The shop is basically a large room filled with boxes and crates. It’s not the most organized place, but I know exactly where everything is. Living and working in Dharavi means you are always surrounded by people. There is a lot of shouting and moving around outside our door. I spend my morning talking to suppliers and my afternoons dealing with customers who come by. We don't have a website or anything like that. People just know we are here. The floor is concrete and the walls are a bit worn down, but it’s a solid place to do business. Sometimes it gets crowded inside when a new shipment arrives. We have to move fast to get everything sorted. I’ve been here for years, and the Chawl nearby is like a landmark for everyone. It’s a loud, dusty, and energetic place to be. I like the rhythm of it. We just keep our heads down and do the work. If you need something, you just come to the door and ask. That’s how we have always done things here at Maliq Traders. No fancy talk, just moving goods from one place to another. Every day brings a different kind of challenge with the transport and the weather here. We just take it as it comes and stay open.
