Om Engineering Works

You can find us at No. 5 Kanchpada in Malad West. We are situated inside the CIEM Industrial Estate. It’s a bit of a squeeze getting through the gates sometimes when there are heavy deliveries, but we manage. Om Engineering Works is a place where there’s always the smell of cutting oil and the sound of metal being worked. It’s not the cleanest job in the world, and our hands are usually a bit greasy by lunch time. We’ve been in the CIEM estate for a good stretch of years now. Malad West is a busy area, and being in an industrial pocket means we are surrounded by other people doing similar work. We have some old lathes and milling machines that have seen a lot of use but still work perfectly fine for what we do. We don't really go for the high-tech stuff if the old ways still get the job done. Our office is just a tiny partitioned area with a desk and some old filing cabinets. We don’t have any slick brochures to hand out. People come to us because they need something made or fixed out of metal. We talk about the specs, look at the drawings, and then we get to it. It’s a noisy, busy place but it feels right to us. We just take one job at a time and try to stay on top of the schedule.
