Our shop is at 2 New Nechi Building in the Gidc area of Mulund West. Being in a Gidc zone means it’s very industrial and practical. We aren't here to look pretty; we are here to work. The building itself is quite plain, but inside we have everything we need to handle the daily rush. I start my shift when most people are still sleeping, mostly because that's when the best flowers arrive at the market. The floor is usually covered in water by mid-morning, so you have to be careful where you step. We handle a lot of bulk orders for local companies and offices in Mulund. It’s a lot of repetitive movement—trimming, tying, and packing. Sometimes it feels like we are more of a factory than a flower shop, but that’s the reality of being in this part of town. We don't have a mission statement or any of that corporate stuff. We just try to make sure the flowers don't die on the way to the customer. The local tea stall guy knows my order by heart because I’m there every morning before the sun comes up. It’s a hard job with long hours, and you’re always dealing with things that are perishable. We just take it one day at a time and do the best with the stock we get. It keeps us on our toes and the days go by fast.
